The Big Slap or the Big Spin Went Wrong

Editor Steven of Malaysiakini thinks that Malaysia B---- Pak Lah has been given the big slap by the Umno delegates at the recent general assembly. But me thinks that in this recent instance, it is a case of Pak Lah's spin doctors having chosen the wrong treatment and not having factored in properly the response by the joe public of this nation. As most suspect, delegates are chosen apparently by divisions members and from them, some are selected and allowed to speak.

What these selected delegates are supposed to say are obviously scripted before hand. So it is unlikely that Pak Lah's spin doctors would allowed him to be bashed right and left without a good reason. The fact that these delegates came out blazing with their little cannons and guns and brandishing their keris panca warisan and mouthing obviously racist stuff mentioned here and here, there is no need for me to repeat them.

After all those rantings, incendiary speeches, bloodbath calls and kissing of the keris, the spin doctors wanted the Greatest Malaysia B---- PM to play the Big Hero role and come out telling one and all, once again, that he is "PM for all Malaysians" and that only what he says goes and will translate into government policies. But if he and his spin doctors have thought that joe public could be taken in again by his talk of "I am PM for all Malaysians", they are obviously mistaken. Enlightened Malaysians in the various internet fora, kopitiams, warongs and the like are obviously not going to be taken in once again like that time, long ago in the spring of 2004. Come the 12th general election, be it in 2007 or 2008 or even 2009; such talk must be shown to be the bull it really is. Enlightened Malaysians must then show themselves to be enlightened voters too! Then and only then will Pak Lah receive his big slap.

On the other hand, if the 12th general election voters decide otherwise, then they should forever remain "elegantly silent" and continue to live elegantly cowed in Umnoputra BodohLand.

Nicol :: Truly Malaysia Boleh

Truly Malaysia Boleh. Once again Nicol David showed the way.

She is the World Squash Champion again for the 2nd year running. She beat Natalie Grinham in Belfast :: 1-9, 9-7, 3-9, 9-5, 9-2 in a marathon match which lasted all of 96 minutes.

The STAR also says that lawyer-blogger Nik Nazmi is similarly being courted but has been spoken for:: "He is said to be inclined towards Parti Keadilan Rakyat".

Kitar Semula Boleh?

Can premises deem for demolition be recycled instead?

It looks like a real waste to just demolish the DZ Satay House by bulldozing it down. Surely much of it could be have been salvaged and put to better use.

After all we are being encouraged by the gomen to recycle.

SD + KG + GH = SYNERGY

It looks like there is going to be a giant of a palm oil producer in BolehLand or BodohLand soon. BERNAMA reports that the gomen has given Permodalan Nasional Bhd the greenlight to merge Sime Darby, Kumpulan Guthrie and Golden Hope in what would surely be the biggest such exercise in Malaysia's corporate history.

Will this lead to cheaper biodiesel? Will it see the demise of others in the plantation sectors like IOI Corp and KLK? We may know in a couple of years as research house K&N Kenanga Bhd reportedly says that the proposed merger will take at least a couple of years it can gain from the economies of scale.

Will Synergy Drive corner the palm oil market? For the moment, researchers think not. So will the merger actually prove "fruitful" to the nation? Or will it prove to be so for some only? Questions, questions, questions.

Will "BodohLand" Backman care to comment when he next writes on Malaysia B___h?
