Urban Monkeys to be Exported, "Blogger Monkeys" too?

Malaysia has lifted the ban on the export of long-tailed macaques, better known as long-tailed monkeys, in an effort to reduce the population of these primates in urban areas.

Will this also apply to "blogger monkeys" too?

Khairy who called bloggers monkeys appeared to have been "monkeyed" today when he attended the annual MCA Youth annual. He was reported by Malaysiakini to have sat through a criticism session by the MCA Youth chief Liow Tiong Lai. The latter gave his criticism of Umno in Mandarin and not surprisingly the one who called bloggers monkeys sat through the session calmly not aware of what was going on. The one who called bloggers monkeys knows little of blogging and bloggers and knows equally the same of Mandarin.

Now back to the long-tailed macaques. Like some human monkeys, these monkeys create havoc in urban areas, not only stealing food from houses but also attacking people, and this is a cause for worry, according to our Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid.

According to Bernama, Minister Azmi added ::

We want to make sure that long-tailed monkeys in the wild are not disturbed. We also want to ensure that monkeys caught in urban areas are not ill treated in the process of export. These monkeys still are under the endangered list of animals, so we have to do this right.

"We do not want to be accused as cruel or abusing these primates. I'm aware that there would be some opposition to this move, not only locally, but also on the foreign front".

Would the one who called bloggers monkeys also accord similar treatments to bloggers before thinking of exporting them!

"NEGARAKUKU" is outside PDRM Jurisdiction

According to a BERNAMA report :: "NEGARAKUKU" is outside PDRM Jurisdiction.

Earlier on, Malaysiakini had reported that "NEGARAKUKU" singer Namewee was in trouble.

But Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Najib Abdul Aziz said the police could not take any action as the incident occurred outside the country.
