EO/PSM 6 Released

The EO/PSM 6, including Sungai Siput MP Dr Michael Devaraj Jeyakumar, were released at 5.30pm this evening from their detention under the Emergency Ordinance (EO).

Dr D Jeyakumar started his hunger strike in his police lockup to back the demand for the release of six PSM detainees under EO last night.

The EO/PSM 6 have been detained for a total of 28 days.

Earlier, the MMA had chipped in with regards to the controversial detention of the EO/PSM 6 by calling on the polis not to force feed on hunger-strike Dr Jeyakumar.

Ever since their detention that have ben many calls from both sides of the political divide to have them released.
