Judicial Reform Dinner?

What is the PM going to do at what has been labelled as the "Dinner for Justice" by Malaysiakini?

Will the gomen finally apologise to the victims of the 1988 judicial crisis?

With the PM tonight are the former lord president Salleh Abas and the judges or the family members of those who were implicated in the 1988 crisis. The right and proper thing would be to say SORRY but at times it is such a difficult word to say. Will the PM do it?

Bernama has just reported in a news flash stamped April 17, 2008 21:42pm ::

PUTRAJAYA, April 17 (Bernama) -- The government has decided to pay goodwill ex-gratia payment in recognition of the contributions of the six judges involved in the 1988 judicial crisis, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced tonight.

Is that all the PM can come out with? A payment to those who have been wronged for so long. A payment done as a favour and not under any compulsion. A payment done not as a required task or as a duty to those who have been wronged?

Shouldn't our PM be doing more?
